The Secret Life of Walter Mitty explores the inner dream of an employee at a highly regarded publication. The start is a bit strange, but as he begins to grow into himself it begins to get more and more interesting. My favourite thing about this movie was the amazing use of the landscapes and showing off countries which most people wouldn't likely visit.

I found the Walter's day dreaming frustrating to start with but once the story got going the movie improved dramatically. A feel-good movie which wraps up nicely.

A quiet, humble and day-dreaming employee of "Life" magazine likes a girl at work but everything seems to be getting in the way - including the end of "Life" as we know it! As he embarks on a mission for the last issue his day dreams cease as his life becomes wilder and wilder.

This is a sweet and harmless film which is refreshingly PG - no swearing, sexual references or violence - which is quite rare these days. Mostly all Hollywood comedies are R18 apart from cartoons and some fantasy films so I often wondered what the teens should be watching legally.

Also, I quite liked the film for the scenery as you're show landscapes of Greenland and Iceland as well as some stunning mountain views - most of which were fairly new locations and seldom used in films previously.

On the whole, although I am not a big Stiller fan, I rather enjoyed this one. It's not innovative or genius in any way - just good clean conventional fun with an option to bring the kids.
