Went to see this movie today with my 13yr old expecting some sappy romance but the movie was entirely different. Yes there was some romance but not sappy or soppy- in fact quite the opposite. The movie faithfully followed the book but had been well edited and along with strong actors-it is a really tight story with plenty of tension and action. You feel for the characters who are well rounded - not at all Disneyised. This story mirrors real life in some ways especially politics and rebellions and uprisings. There were lots of teenagers there but this story is for adults as well and could lead into interesting discussions about loyalty, betrayal and trust with your own teenager if you dare to go and watch it with them as long as you get the popcorn and coke-(or maybe sit a few seats away)
