A smart and charming film. Presented as montage of handful of memorable days of the members of the Duval family, from childhood to death, The First Day of the Rest of Your Life is a window into a family relationship, the things that bind together the individuals and push us apart. Funny, a little sad, thought-provoking, and strangely uplifting.
