Very cool 3D effects in this one (or am I just eternally impressed by 3D movies). We overpitched with 'ages to take' to this one and DEFINITELY found it too scary for say, under 8yr olds. Some really scary flying monkey-bird things that seem to leap onto screen without warning. Love Mila Kunis and enjoyed her in the role, great movie to watch as Oz is an awesome place. Good to get background to the Wizard of Oz story. Wonder if they'll do ALL the books if this is a winner? Rate a 3.5 our of 5. If you're seeing it, definitely pay the extra to see 3D. NOT a family movie (for younger kids) so pay heed to the PG rating.

Oz The Great and Powerful was an enjoyable movie on the overall. The storyline was alright, but something felt missing at times from the storyline. Performance by James Franco (Oz) was mediocre, so I thought.

Overall it was enjoyable, albeit not the best. 3D effects were pretty good and I thought were better than most of the recent 3D movies I've watched, from memory. There were a couple of "oooo" moments for me.
