I can't help feeling the same. The acting was great and the cast was excellent but it seemed to be in limbo, getting some laughs but never standing out. A good movie, not a great one.

I had high hopes for Mirror Mirror, but didn’t really enjoy it as much I as I thought I would and I can’t really put my finger on why. The acting was good. The costumes were rich and decadent. Mind you it could have been the giggling row of young girls sitting behind us.

I think that I expect that this film would be darker and more like Snow White and the Huntsman.

I absolutely loved Julia Roberts as the wicked queen. She was utterly fabulous and she struck the perfect balance between evil and funny. Some of her lines were delivered to perfection with lashings of humour.

I found Lily Collins as Snow White to be rather sweet and determined. The part where the dwarfs teach her to fight is fantastic and when they choose her outfit; superb. Nevertheless, I was a bit distracted by her eyebrows.

Nathan Lane as Brighton the queens right-hand man was so funny. Loved him.
