As amusing as some of this film is, it’s not all that. In this instalment Kingsmen go to meet their American cousins and bust a drug ring. Lots of action and brutality ensue with a few plot twists and funny lines. However, I am not sure if the film is actually approving drug use or warning against it - very ambiguous in that sense. Oh well, at least Elton looks like he had a fantastic time time playing his part.

My review of the first Kingsman movie on this site contains the phrases 'extremely far fetched' and 'I hope they don't decide to make a sequel'. Obviously they did.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle is a long movie (around 2.5 hours) but fast paced and an easy watch. I liked it much better than the first movie.

Elton John playing a caricature of himself was a highlight and the addition of Channing Tatum and Halle Berry to the cast was well done. While I love a female villain the character of Poppy, played by Julianne Moore was annoying and overly flirty. The fight scenes were gory but great and the ending was well set up for a third edition.
