Surprisingly, I rather enjoyed this. A lot of people had expectations of another Matrix, it seems, hence the harsh reviews. However, if you just feel like being entertained and enjoying the art work, you may well come out of the cinema as pleased as I was.

The film looks a sight to look at and the alien worlds are all stunning. There's a lot of SFX with highly complex flying chases demolishing the centre of Chicago. Quite spectacular!

The story is nowhere near the Matrix, of course. But what it had a moral and a few twists so I can't say it was completely lost.

In terms of acting, I like Mila Kunis here and in general - she has some personality, is believable in fighting scenes and speaks great Russian, unlike that bunch of the non Russian speakers playing her family. Even Channing Tatum seems to be appropriate here pulling off the lycant character very well. And then there's Sean Bean. Does he die again? You'll have to watch as I'm not telling:-)
