Iron Man 3 was kept me sufficiently entertained with their storyline. The movie was really fast paced in the beginning but it felt a little draggy towards the end. Still an enjoyable movie overall.

I don't like the Marvel series and don't really like this type of movie at all. The long drawn out fight scenes and the cheesy comic bookness about them just grates on me. However my mother does and she has just moved to NZ. I thought I would just suck it up and go watch Iron Man 3 with her, I said I will probably fall asleep but that's fine.

Well I have never been so wrong in my expectation of a movie. Iron Man 3 (of which The Mother says was the best so far) was excellent. It didn't take long to catch up especially as I had done a little online research on the the previous Iron Man movies.

The film is as expected action packed but is certainly not over the top which is what I usually hate, the fight scenes are quick and to the point whilst being smart and excellently filmed. The comedy is funny and not cheesy and the arrogant main character is surprisingly very likable.

I loved the plot of which I won't spoil and there is even a twist which is very unexpected and very funny at the same time. (You will have to see it to understand.)

The movie won't make me drop everything and run to the DVD store to hire the rest including Avengers but it was definitely a good watch. Plus I didn't fall asleep and despite being over two hours I never once checked my watch. That says it all really!

Despite great expections, this movie was still above expected!

Tony Stark was his usual charming self and tried to save the world as usual. What made this movie different was the girl power of Pepper Potts. Tony being saved physically by Pepper was totally the highlight for me.

The story was interesting and visuals was great. However, the 3D at hoyts was very average, looks like flat objects in layers like in a "3D" card, so probably not worth paying the extra.
