Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is a lot darker than I was expecting. A lot of very cool graphics (caught it in 2d) and thought the acting was pretty good (Bill Nighy and Rhys Ifans particularly) and it must be said...is Helena Bonham Carter not the sexiest bad witch ever!
It's good to see that Harry's magic hasn't faded over the years, but instead matured along with it's audience. In this penultimate film the series gets heavy with an emotional set up for next year's final battle. The series has come a long way from the awkward kids doing magic tricks a decade ago to the awe inspiring special effects and intense torture scenes of this film. Can't wait for next year!
The move to a more intense drama portrayal of Harry Potter was a gamble Fincher took but it paid off, especially in the long and emotionally tiring camping scenes. Going to see this at least three more times!
