For me biopics are all about capturing the spirit of the person it's about and the time they lived. Historical accuracy is something that is not really achievable in feature films anyway - it's just not very cinematic. Otherwise, it all turns into a documentary. Which this film was not in any way.

This is a music lover's film. It's about a man who cared about music so much that he sacrificed quite a great deal to promoting it. I think the spirit, the hope and joy music brought people in a very stressful and dangerous time is captured remarkably well. The actors do a great job too.

Most people passionate about music will relate to this - life would be unbearable without record shops, gigs and the Peel sessions. Some things never change!
