From Paris With Love (Action)

Basic premise: James Reece (Rhys Meyers), an employee at the U.S Embassy in Paris who is desperate to climb the secret agent career ladder teams up with an American Spy, Charlie Wax (Travolta), to stop a potential terrorist attack in the city.

What I wanted out of the film: I wanted a clever, action-packed storyline with a possible twist in the plot.

My rating: 2 Stars; You know when you sit through a movie and imagine how much better it could have been? Well that was the case with this movie. Throughout the entire movie a possible twist was alluded to but it never really occurred (unless you accept an obvious twist, which in itself is an oxy-moron). The action scenes were completely unbelievable and unrealistic (and I dare anyone to disagree with me) however they were always entertaining. My rating is as high as it is because whilst the storyline was unoriginal, the dialogue pretty lame and the acting sub-par, the completely unrealistic action scenes were very entertaining; these scenes involved several big explosions, dozens of men being killed by a single gunman and one or two unexpected sudden deaths.

Target audience/rating: People who like unrealistic action films/2.5 Stars
