I was not expecting a Briget Jones sequel but nontheless it happened. I must admit the two potential fathers twist was a good idea otherwise there would be not plot. It's an amusing and well written film for a chick flick and has its funny, moving and cringeworthy moments. Sadly, the only thing I really have against this particular series, there are lots of the latter. I think the character of Bridget has always been slightly too ridiculous and pathetic to be realistic but such is the world of cinema, I suppose.
Of the highlights - Emma Thompson stole the show with her side character, hipsters were made fun of and the end of the film strongly suggested a follow up will also be made.
Verdict - Surprisingly, a pleasant watch, we enjoyed it! But probably leave the blokes at home;-)

Bridget Jones's Baby was mildly enjoyable but just did not compare to the first two movies. Bridget has grown up a little from the awkward, chain smoking, weight obsessed women she was, but the characters are basically still the same, just older. Patrick Dempsey was a nice addition given the absence of Hugh Grant but it was Emma Thompson who stole every scene she appeared in. Nice pick for an evening out with the girls but otherwise not really worth the price of a movie ticket.
