I actually saw this movie on a long-haul flight out of New Zealand a couple of weeks ago....and was therefore forced to watch it given that the plane didn't have personal entertainment units.

With cartoon-type films these days you expect some sort of in-jokes and humour aimed at the adult audience...but unfortunately this movie doesn't deliver in that regard. It's clearly a kids movie aimed only at kids, and although I kept expecting some subtleties to keep me entertained, it wasn't until the end of the movie that I realized there wasn't to be any...

Unfortunately the story-line wasn't much chop, and the chipmunk characters ended up being annoying rather than endearing. Kids may like it, although there isn't even any guarantee about that. I wouldn't recommend this movie.

My grandchildren enjoyed it which was what we wanted, but my daughter and i didn't think it was as good as some of the other kids movies we've seen.

kids enjoyed this..especially my son who loves Alvin and how the remote gets thrown to the tv...why? because he did the same thing...

Kind of good my boys liked the boys and didn't go for the girls so much.

the movie i thought would really be good for the kiddies......i have seen a lot of kiddie movies that i really enjoy....this was however not one of them......but my kids liked it......thats all that matters.

Well our five year old loved it! He didn't even get the "need to get up & walk around" toward the end either....
