It’s that time of year again, when the world’s best films and actors get nominated for Academy Awards and celebrities strut their stuff on the red carpet. Although she's better known for her role as romcom film queen, Sandra Bullock joined the list of Oscar winners in 2010.
Best Directing – Kathryn Bigelow – The Hurt Locker
Director Kathryn Bigelow and her film The Hurt Locker beat cinema hit Avatar.
Best Supporting Actor – Christoph Waltz – Inglourious Basterds
Christoph Waltz’s performance in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds won rave reviews.
Best Supporting Actress – Mo-Nique – Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire
Mo’Nique played a disturbed mother in this film.
