First time at Hoyts was for Avatar 3D and they were just the regular seats but I found it to be one of the flashest theatres in NZ. I love goign to the Lido and the other small arthouse and independents but if you want a good screen for things like 3D and the upcoming Alice in Wonderland (which I will be attending w/my reusable 3D glasses) then you gotta think about Hoyts being your cinema. I have avoided Sylvia park the first 2 years I was in NZ but have decided for these big blockbusters then go to Hoyts, they have rad seats and it's an extra buck or 2 but worth it for comfortablilty and the nice reusable 3D glasses - take your own when you return to keep NZ green :)

Xtreme Screen is Awesome!!!! Best place to watch a blockbuster in Auckland for sure!
